If you’re ever in Kamothe and craving some killer Chinese cuisine, Oishii is the place to be. From the outside, it looks like a slice of urban China, and the food inside is just as impressive. They serve up a mix of Chinese, Indo-Chinese, Indonesian, Thai and Fusion dishes that will blow your mind.

Our Experience

The vibe at Oishii is modern with a touch of feudal Japan. Think light red and black wallpapers contrasting with wooden seating. It’s a small place, but the team makes it work beautifully.

Chef Rajdeep Sarkar, trained in Mumbai, is the mastermind behind the menu. Specializing in oriental cuisine, his passion shines through in every dish. He personally handed us the menu and recommended the Indonesian Sapo and Five Spice Noodles.

• Indonesian Sapo: This dish was a revelation. The sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors melded perfectly with the tender chicken and stir-fried vegetables. The bold flavors and fresh ingredients made it an instant favorite.

• Five Spice Noodles: Influenced by Sichuan cuisine, these noodles were a spice lover’s dream. The star anise and peppers were prominent, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The well-seasoned chicken pieces added an extra layer of deliciousness.

• Dragon Soup: After being wowed by the first two dishes, we asked the chef about the Dragon Soup. When it arrived, we were spellbound. Hot, sour, and spicy, it was packed with chicken and vegetables, making it a meal in itself.

Our visit to Oishii was nothing short of amazing. The food was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The modern yet cozy interiors added to the overall experience. Kudos to Chef Rajdeep Sarkar and his team for making our lunch memorable. We’ll definitely be back!
