What a day! I woke up early to go for a swim. Before going for my swim I took my progress picture. I knew I would be cooking dinner today so I did not keep myself too occupied with work today.
At the pool I did around 60 minutes and within that time I covered around 1600 meters. it was a slow start to the day. I headed home from there and before I hopped into the shower I got some gardening done. I had to cut off an old tulsi plant as its roots had started rotting. It got damaged during monsoon and we should have kept it elsewhere during that time. After gardening I took a quick shower and went out for a work meeting.
I came home from the meeting and had some breakfast. Breakfast was simple tea and biscuits because dinner was going to be heavy. I then shifted my focus to working. I worked until 2:30 PM and realised I had not caught up on reading yet. I finished reading the book on Warren Buffet called The Snowball.

The book is essentially a biography of Warren Buffet and it outlines the reasons behind the decisions he made, both in life and in business. He has plenty to offer as a highly successful individual. We learn about his flaw where he states that he is a non-confrontational individual and his strength where he studies every business and learns about each business he buys before even considering to invest. He has a knack for collecting things and he is also an astute statistician if one can say that. I say that because he loves to see how far the odds go. For example, he wants to see how long he can live and the odds of him beating the record of Rose Blumkin who died at the age of 103. Rose was a very good friend of his and she worked till her last day. He intends to do so himself.
Then we learn about his theory of owning one car, he says that every person should imagine that they will only ever get one car in life and they must do everything in their power to maintain it for a lifetime. He says that this principle should be applied to all aspects of life including things like investments, businesses, relationships with family, the friends we make. This explains why he collected a lot of friends along the way and only worked with people he liked. Its a very old school way of thinking in contrast to today where we don’t even use the same towels again.
The book has a lot to teach and I highly recommend it for people who want to expand their knowledge and want an anthropological perspective of the world from 1930 to 2009. The life of Buffet has so many stories it truly captures his colorful personality and on top of that we get to witness how a legend is made.
After finishing my reading I looked out the window and saw the what a beautiful day it was. I was so amazed to have witnessed a day like this after so many months if not weeks. I decided to screw work and go out for a walk. I mean what point is there of owning a business if I can’t manage my time according to my own needs. I headed out for a walk and I do not regret that decision at all. Below are some pictures I took along the way.

After my walk I came home and I started cooking dinner. My mother had gone out for a walk. I had pretty much done my work for the day and I had some time left in the evening. While doing prep work I cut my finger and it started bleeding quite profusely so I Macgyvered it with super glue.

But the cut was worth it because I may have prepared the most delicious meal of my life. Not only was it delicious it was also one of the most healthiest meals I have ever prepared. I present to you- Chicken Souvlaki!

After the meal was prepared, I fixed a plate for my mom and this is her first time eating Greek food so I was curious what she thought of it. She gave it a thumbs up and even suggested that I make it for her when she has to go to potlucks with her friends. I obviously loved it and it is such a simple dish and delicious at the same time.
After dinner I finished drinking my gallon of water for the day. I did not lose any weight today but I did not gain any weight either. Day 16 was a success.

Let's hear it!
