Day 48 was not very fulfilling to be honest. I did all my tasks of course but the gym was closed today so I had to go out for a walk twice today. My diet was okay and I finished drinking a gallon of water. I also read ten pages and took my progress pictures. But it was Gudi Padwa today and I was looking forward to eating Puran Poli today. The problem was that my mom forgot to soak the lentils needed to make Puran Poli and when I went outside they were not available anywhere. The reason being the LPG shortage. Most businesses use LPG here for cooking and with the war going on there is a short supply of gas. At home we use induction so we don’t really have any issue with that but outside the people have few reliable means and mostly use gas. It is a reflection of the times more than it is about Puran Poli to be honest. The current government has been in power for over a decade and has made empty promises about a better life for the citizens. It failed to keep these promises and is now skirting off responsibilities when being called out. In some cases the consequences are severe punishment so people are afraid to step up. It is a tame generation and the result is me not getting my Puran Poli because I am a part of this generation. My dad’s generation was very strong but they are old and have many insecurities about the safety of their families. It feels like we have been tamed like herds and we can’t do anything about it. Such is life. Day 48 was a success.

Let's hear it!
