I have a lot of reasons to loose weight but in my pursuit for fitness I have come to the conclusion that the biggest reason for me to become healthy is to realise who I am at the core. I am not getting any younger and I have not fully explored my potential. Its not that I haven’t tried, many times external factors affected my decisions. For a long time I didn’t even know what I wanted to do with my life. Honestly I still don’t.
Sometimes I think to myself I will find the answer if I just sit and think about it. But then certain life events shifted that perspective and taught me lessons the hard way. I learnt that life happens even if you don’t do anything. If you are truly searching for answers about your existence you have to be involved in it without being attached to it. I know its a bit of a stretch to say that since I am no philosopher but I am speaking from experience.
I want to realise my true self through this pursuit of health. I want to learn who I am at my core. I have made many mistakes in my life and I have pursued several fallacies but if I want to feel fulfilled I think I need to strip myself bare of all of life’s distractions. I see many people do it and I see a sense of satisfaction in those who are successful. My definition of success will always contain a list of things I want. But my definition of peace will be who I am when I am void of all feelings and distractions.

My day was pretty good, I managed to do all the tasks effectively. I was supposed to meet my friend Apurva in the morning for a swim but I ended up waking up late so I missed that opportunity. I spent 120 minutes at the gym working on back and biceps, I also got in a 20 minute elliptical session in that time. I headed for my swim after that and came home. I had lunch- rice, chicken, vegetables, mung curry, chapatis- and then I got to work. In the evening I headed out for my walk and met my friend Sagar. Day 28 was a success.

Let’s hear it!
