Day 53 was quite systematic! I went through my morning tasks of taking progress pictures, reading ten pages and then weighing myself. At the gym I was going to train legs but I wanted to give my ankles a break so instead of the traditional weight lifting I did an entire leg workout with Kettlebells and then I did some Skipping. By the end of the workout I burnt around 2000 calories. Kettlebells are god sent to be honest. In a short time you can burn a lot of calories. I think its because of the combination of weights and dynamic movements. You need to recruit so many muscles you end up using a lot of energy. Plus after the exercise you don’t feel pain because you use the main muscle groups and the muscles that stabilise those muscles unlike traditional weight training where you target one muscle groups and that’s it. I see a lot of body builders with joint pain and a lack of mobility and flexibility and these guys never train kettlebell. There is this new (to me) thing that has come up on my radar called Flow Training and people are literally training with a heavy rope. I train with a Club and it does the same thing but the club has some limited movements, however, it is great for strength. Flow training is like Taiichi but faster and with tools.

For lunch I had Chicken, Bhakri and Sauteed Turnips. I have received a request for a recipe for Dal and I have asked my mother to assist me in making a blog about it. It will be up tomorrow so be sure to check it out.
I finished my gallon of water in the afternoon before going for my walk. My walk was pretty fast and I tried on a new pair of socks which wore off pretty easily after the first use so I might have to get better quality ones. I started reading a new book today on running and I will let you know how it is after I am done reading it. Day 53 was a success.

Let's hear it!
