Second day of Diwali today, also known as the day of Laxmi Pujan where Goddess Laxmi is prayed to for her blessings. I woke earlier than usual, my body is deceiving me as I am trying to sleep without an alarm but its waking up either on time or before. Anyway I took a progress picture and moved on with my day. I did not have many chores to do so I decided to finish my first workout early and went for my swim.
At the pool I did 1500 meters of freestyle and breaststroke styles. I came home and had a heavy breakfast. I tried to get some reading done until my archnemesis showed up and interrupted my task. I caught up on drinking my gallon of water in the mean time. After my nemesis left I went back to reading and finished my 10 pages.
My mother made rangoli today with a stencil, when she was younger she used to do it by hand but now that she is approaching 60 she no longer has the patience to sit and make it freehand.

In the afternoon I did some work and finished up early for the day. After a long time I had managed to find the time to take a nap so I took one. I slept well for a half hour until our security guard made a phone call demanding a bonus for the festival. I did not respond as I would be giving it at a later time. I was just getting ready to head out for my second workout when we were greeted by an unexpected spell of heavy rain.
I had to postpone my walk by a bit and I was supposed to meet a friend at the park later on but I had to cancel that meeting altogether. I headed out when the rain tapered but was caught off guard when it suddenly intensified. By the time I reached home I was drenched and I had to tiptoe to my home’s entrance to avoid muddying the hallway. I managed to get in and came back to clean it after.
I finished drinking my gallon of water and also managed my calories by avoiding dinner. I have caught the root cause of the weight fluctuations and have implemented a change by reducing one meal from my day. Day 13 was a success.
