Day 17 of the Cut

Day 17 of the Cut

The exhaustion finally caught up to me this morning. After training abs yesterday I felt a strong hold in my abdomen. I wasn’t able to move out of bed. I pulled myself out and then went to the gym. At the gym I took it extremely easy. Just did some cardio and some mild adductor exercises. I was in a real chatty mood today and I ended up talking to everybody. So much so that some people had to run out because they were late for work. I somehow kept them engaged in talking and made them forget about their workouts unintentionally. It was not all in vain however, I learned today that three people I know personally have had Malaria in the last 15 days. Its not uncommon in these parts but it has resurfaced after a long hiatus.

A plate with three fried eggs, seasoned with pepper, served alongside bowls of rice, dal (lentil dish), and a side of yogurt or salad.
Lunch- Rice, Masala Rice, Dal, Bitter Gourd, Eggs and Raita

When I reached home lunch was rice, masala rice, dal, Karela (bitter gourd), eggs and raita. Last night when I was cutting my toenails one nail flew and fell into my mother’s cup of chamomile. After getting a sharp smack on the back of my head, I did not hear the end of how and why we shouldn’t be cutting nails at night. I survived that rain of bullets but this afternoon there was a butterfly effect on lunch. She cooked rice twice unknowingly :D. She didn’t sleep too well because she didn’t have her chamomile. I was too tired to go out for a walk so I did some stretches in the evening. Day 17 was a success!
