Day 12 of the Cut

Day 12 of the Cut

Went to the gym this morning and trained calisthenics. For the first time in years I was able to do a front tuck properly. I added it to my routine because when I am doing handstands I need to be able to dissipate the energy if I fall. I have access to a foam but I still need to be careful how I fall. I might even do it deliberately just to get used to it. I also practiced doing cartwheels after a long time. I felt like my training had become stagnant so I introduced some new exercises.

Lunch was Rice, Mung Curry, Eggs, Okra and Raita. I had around six Eggs today to maintain my protein count and the Mung also contributes to it in addition the fiber. Okra is great for the stomach lining. Rice and Raita are good for cooling down the stomach. Yoghurt and Okra are both good for gut health.

In the evening I went out rucking again. The weather has somewhat cooled down now so I was able to do that today. In total I climbed the equivalent of 9 floors with the weighted vest. I think I can do more but I need to take it easy so as to not burn out.

Its Mango season and my friend was going to bring Hapoos aka Alphonso Mangoes from his hometown but he didn’t show up. Maybe he will come tomorrow to the gym. Alphonso Mangoes are known as the King of Fruits and are the best Mangoes one can want. I know for a fact there are better Mango varieties but its quite popular and is sold worldwide. There was this one time in Toronto when I went to buy Mangoes and I spent CAD 35 for a dozen Alphonso Mangoes, here I can get a crate (35 Mangoes) full at a wholesale rate of CAD 6. My buddy is going to bring them raw so we can ripen them at home. My mom used to make raw mango pickles back in the day but now its available in the market quite easily. If they are raw enough I might consider making it. Day 12 was a success!

handstands and head stands are a lot of fun to do, I wish I could walk on my hands but my balance is best when I’m stationary lol
