Day 2 of the Cut was slightly more intense. I plan to ease into the workouts as I have to also work on rehabilitating my ankle. The work I did on my ankle yesterday had some effect and I was able to further it today. I increased the intensity of body weight exercises today by introducing some kettlebell workouts at the gym. I am going to increase the intensity even more tomorrow so I can burn calories more efficiently. I went rucking in the evening and I was able to cover a lot of ground. It was quite hot but the workout was worth it. I am able to cover the same distance while burning three times more calories than walking.

Lunch was Chicken Curry, Rice and Vegetables. I have managed to cut my calories down but I have also introduced snacking for the first time in the form of fruits. I haven’t felt hungry or starved yet, but this morning I increased my fruit intake because I felt like I needed to eat something carb heavy before working out.

In other news, I dropped a kilogram of water weight overnight. The bulk was the fun part now the real work begins. I am estimating that the Cut will last for about three months but I have seen some people go as far as six months. I won’t rush it but putting a time limit is good for morale because I think it helps me know when this process ends. I can systematically put together a set of tasks and goals which will help me finish the whole thing efficiently. This soft opening of sorts gives me an idea of what to expect over the next three months. Day 2 was a success!
