I had a great day today. Woke up and started reading a new book- “The Lean Startup” by Eric Ries. I have heard its good and the introduction is also pretty intriguing as he speaks about how he built his business on the basis of several iterations of testing and refining the products and services, but not only based on customer feedback but also on the basis of tweaking production and management techniques. I am curious about it and will give a summary once I have finished reading it. I took my progress picture after that and headed to the gym.
At the gym I trained my back and biceps. I maxed out the weights on the rack for seated cable rows and close grip front lats pulldowns. Each of those workouts was done at 90 kilograms or about 200 pounds. I also worked on my biceps and increased the weight for my biceps curls to about 12.5 kg per arm or about 27.5 pounds. I was happy to make that progress. I did around 20 minutes of uphill running on the treadmill after that.
I came home and had lunch. My mom showed me a picture of a couple of parrots that showed up to drink water from the bird bath. That cheered me up because they are my favourite birds because of their colour.

I took a day off today from work because I have been trying to do so for more than a week. I took a long nap in the afternoon and woke up to a set sun. I headed out for my walk and got my steps in. On average I do around 10,000 steps so that is probably a good thing. My day ended with me nearly getting stuck in the elevator. Tonight will be the last day for using it as the technicians are finally scheduled to come tomorrow and start working on the new elevator. I was nostalgic and as I have mentioned before, we all have plenty of memories associated with it. While I don’t believe in Vaastu myself, I do believe that when memories are attached to objects they can be visualized in the form of character traits of the object itself. Meaning the object has a soul. I was the last person to use it before it broke down and tomorrow it will be dismantled. I was sad but also glad it chose me as its last passenger.

I had a pretty good day, I get very emotional when I do this program because of its intensity. I am making progress by just showing up and that’s what matters. Day 35 was a success.

Let's hear it!
