Day 6 started with me tiptoeing around my mom’s online yoga class so as to not make a loud noise. I wanted to go to the kitchen to get my water bottle and get other chores done. By the time her class was over I finished my lessons, chores and was ready to head to the gym. I trained legs at the gym today. I also worked on rehabbing my ankles which took an hour.

Then I headed home and lunch was chicken, rice, chapatis, spicy potatoes and two chutneys- chunky peanut and garlic coconut chutney. The chutneys are local dry condiments and are homemade. The rice is different today, its called the Indrayani rice, its cultivated in my home state of Maharashtra, India. Its sticky but holds its texture like sushi rice but it has its own floral fragrance. Tastes great with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian side dishes. Not suitable for fried-rice however. More information on the place where its grown here and here.

My prework-out had sweet potatoes in addition to the fruit and milk so that was a welcome change. It gave me extra energy at the gym today. I went for a walk in the evening after work. Day 5 was a success!
