65 butter on rye!

65 butter on rye!

Day 65 went smooth! Early in the morning I went for a swim. I finished taking progress pictures and reading ten pages. After that I headed home and had some fruits and yoghurt for breakfast. For lunch my mom made chicken fried rice. She forgot to put vegetables in it but it was alright. I had consumed enough fiber in the morning.

I watched a movie called Mahavatar Narsimha which is based on Indian Mythology and I loved the action sequences in it. The story is about this little boy named Prahalad who is a devotee of Lord Vishnu but his father Hiranyakashyap is a demon and is against all gods. The father has a boon which states that no enemy can enter his house through the doors or the windows, that he cannot be killed indoors or outdoors, on earth or in the sky, by any animal or by any other living being and no weapon living or dead can kill him. So Lord Vishnu takes the form of Half Man (Nar) and Half Lion (Simha)- Narsimha, he enters his home through a pillar, defeats him indoors and outdoors, on earth and in the sky. Then he grabs him and walks to the entrance of his house and sits on the post of the door. He places him on his lap and kills him by shredding him open with his nails and ripping his heart out. This way he frees Prahalad from the clenches of his evil father. Its a long story and I did think the movie could have been shorter. The animation was very well done and the aesthetics and the storyboarding/staging were absolutely beautiful. There were several references to modern movies like Star Wars and Percy Jackson as well. Not through the story but through the visuals. Each character had a unique look and a unique purpose. No character was wasted in the writing. I think the songs were the main issue for me personally. I don’t like songs in movies because if I don’t enjoy the genre I will be forced to sit through it. Luckily I was watching it on Netflix so I could forward it. Great experience in general except the songs.

Went for a walk in the evening. Cool breeze and very nice weather. Its raining somewhere so its cooling down the area. Drank the last of my gallon after the walk. Day 65 was a success.
