Day 30 of the Cut

Day 30 of the Cut

Last night I didn’t sleep too well. I kept waking up because the temperature was varying between very hot and warm. Which is weird because it doesn’t radiate like that ever. I kept waking up at night and must have woken up at least 4 times. In the morning I wasn’t tired but I was simply existent. The weather has been really humid lately and its wanting to rain but its also edging to the max. I headed to gym and met some friends there. I ended up talking to them and one of them was in a particularly chatty mood and he kept talking until his workout ended and he went home. I walked out of the conversation at around 15 minutes and left the two of them to talk and then came back and involved a third friend into the conversation and left again to do my exercises. I guess I added fuel to the fire because he convinced one of them to do a leg workout in addition to his actual workout which is insane to be honest. I trained abs and I did some phenomenal exercises today.

The chatty friend was not alone in the chatty void today. I was constantly interrupted by some person or another who wanted to talk about something or the other. I maintained my composure and kept doing my work. I managed to finish my exercises in the nick of time because the gym closes at 1 PM and my workout finished at 12:55 PM. I must say that some of these guys come to the gym with incomplete knowledge that they learn from Instagram and try to convince you that they are right. I have my moments where I don’t fully know what I am talking about but these guys are like ChatGPT on steroids. Luckily none of them are on steroids. One of them was and he left the gym when his contract was up. I could tell because he started to smell like mangoes at one point because of all the supplements he was taking and his bulk was insane in a very short period of time.

Came home and lunch was phenomenal! Eggs, Potato Salad, Cauliflower, Aamras and Yoghurt! All of my favourite things! I read somewhere that potatoes are good for satiety and it might be my brain playing tricks on me again but its quite late at night now and I haven’t felt like eating anything yet. I will see if I can keep this up for a week and then I might expand more on whether this works or not. I love potatoes because they are like the shrimp of the vegetable world, you can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sauté it. There’s, potato-kabobs, potato creole, potato gumbo. Pan-fried, deep-fried, stir-fried. There’s scalloped potatoes, lemon potatoes, cheesy potatoes, pepper potatoes, potato soup, potato stew, potato salad, potatoes and gravy, potato burger, potato sandwich, potato pie… that- that’s about it. Coincidentally I have recently become allergic to shrimp I used to love eating them but now I get hives if I eat them. Went for a walk in the evening. Day 30 was a success!

That’s a real gift! My gym is small so people talk to each other all the time.

Let's hear it!
