Oh boy what a day! I observed a literal temporal shift today! This morning I woke up as usual and then headed to the bathroom. While in there I heard several rings of the doorbell. I rushed out to see that my mom had locked herself out of the apartment. She was cleaning out the store room and a gust of wind shut the door behind her. This confusion led to my routine being disrupted. Usually I have an efficient system and I am out the door to go to the gym by 9:30AM. Today I headed out at 9:45 because everything dragged out. I assumed everything would follow and I would be late to everything. My workout (chest, shoulder, triceps) was fantastic and I actually covered every exercise at the gym and I was late because I walked out of there by 1PM. I went to the store to pick up a few things and then from there I headed home. It was already 1:30PM when I reached. Lunch is usually around 1PM and then I get to work. Lunch was Bhakri, Peanut Chutney, Okra and Mung Bean Curry.
At work I went through my tasks and emails then had a meeting which seemed longer than usual. I then looked at the time and I finished early! I usually finish work around 7 and it takes that much time because its tedious work. The work today was no less than usual but I finished an hour earlier at 6! I checked my to-do list just to make sure I didn’t miss anything or if I forgot to meet a client or anything like that but no it was all covered! Leaving only one explanation. There was a temporal shift! I was so stoked because by the end of the day I actually found the time to chill! I went for my walk earlier than usual. I watched a whole movie on a week day! I even had time for stretching! I don’t know how I noticed this but usually things like this go unnoticed. I guess I have been looking at the time a lot lately and I have been making some observations so I just noticed something that stood out like an anomaly. Or I think subconsciously I worked faster without looking at the clock and ended up finishing the tasks efficiently. Either way I got some much needed me time. But I’m sure this is common. Day 50 was a success!
