After yesterday’s trip to Pune I woke up refreshed this morning. Last night began an intense heat wave that is still coursing through my city at the moment. The heat has driven people to extreme measures. I saw a man with a pipe connected to a water bottle on his bicycle and he was sipping water on his way to wherever he was going. The A/C at the gym has been on full blast and the trainer said to me that we should all just sit outside for a bit and all our collective fat will simply melt off. I trained calisthenics at the gym. I also worked on my ankle and it is healing well.
When I reached home lunch was eggs, dal, rice, eggplant and karela (bitter gourd). This is going to be the basis for my meals for the next few weeks. I have to stick to a routine otherwise the Cut will have very little meaning. I was about to have 6 eggs but one egg exploded in the water due to extreme heat. We shall miss him, he was a good egg.

In the evening when the sun set, I went walking. It was extremely hot but even so I managed it because its a necessity at this point. I drank plenty of water when I reached home. Day 19 was a success!
