Day 60 of the Cut

Day 60 of the Cut

The day started with marinating chicken for Biryani. I did some other chores and caught up on work before going for a swim. Met my friend Apurva at the swimming pool. The Biryani turned out great. This time I used Indrayani rice but next time perhaps I will stick to the traditional Basmati rice.

The Indrayani rice is better for other recipes like Dhal Khichdi or Risotto or Sushi. Its a sticky type of rice and there is a tact to make it; something which I haven’t perfected yet. But it is not a bad contender for making Biryani because it is fragrant like Jasmine rice and has some chewiness to it. The rest of the day I rested. Day 60 was a success!
