63 on a spree!

63 on a spree!

Day 63 was like any other day but it had its quirks. This morning I went to the gym after taking progress pictures but I did not read in the morning because I was super bored of the routine. I trained abs at the gym and before my workout started I was procrastinating quite a bit and ended up chatting with my friend Bhagyesh for 30 minutes! But then, when I trained abs, I trained them hard! I have some very effective abdominal exercises and some of my gym friends ask me to train them but I don’t train them right away. Usually I ask them to observe my workout first because I do a lot of strenuous functional work with weights and most of the time these workouts deter them from joining me on my work out. I don’t think these exercises are difficult to do they just require a lot of effort.

I use a counter weight for crunches and leg raises. I do hollow body holds with resistance as well. I also incorporate some yoga poses into my ab workout in order to hit the core from all angles. Most of my friends are in it for the aesthetics which is fine but in the long run a strong core will help keep the back straight especially during old age as I have learnt from my uncle who still scales hills at the age of 72. He used to be a power lifter in college but he lost track of that as he had to take on more responsibilities and then he started going on treks and hikes as a hobby. I haven’t had the opportunity to go hiking with him but from what he has told me he has gone up to the base camp of the Himalayas in Nepal, the only reason he didn’t scale Everest was because it costs a fortune and when he was younger it was expensive and unsafe compared to today’s standards. Today he has a great physique and keeps strict tabs on his diet. Dude is shredded!

Neer Dosas and Coconut Chutney

After working out I came home and my mom had Neer Dosas and chutney prepared for lunch. I gobbled those like a wolf pup back from a hunt. I worked all afternoon and then headed out for a walk in the evening. I went the extra mile today quite literally covering around 8.5 kilometers or 12500 steps. I did not want to seem like I was slacking and needed a change in routine honestly. Finished my gallon of water when I came home and then read my ten pages soon after. Day 63 was a success.

I’m just as lazy when it comes to reading. I hate it but I do it anyway but the bare minimum.
