Have you ever regretted reading a book — which one and why?

I read Warren Buffet’s biography last year and it was 900+ pages long. He said he would work till he died. I was disappointed when he retired. There is a lot of context around it of course. But the gist of it is that he had a lot of passion for his work and wanted to work till the day he died. The book was published in 2008 so back then he probably couldn’t have predicted the future. I speculate why he chose to retire. It was around the time Epstein’s List was released. Perhaps he retired to avoid backlash from his association with Bill Gates. Maybe he just felt like it or his health didn’t allow it. But its not like him to do something like this. I regret reading the book now because it turned out to be a false promise.

Oh yeah he’s full of it, he could have gone easy on people but he was brutal when it came to money.

Sounds like you took it too much to heart.

Yeah I kinda liked his story its full of ups and downs. I was rooting for him so I was a little disappointed. C’est la vie some might say.
