If there is ever an exercise you think is difficult it won’t be as difficult as doing chores. While chores are usually simple to do, the mental challenge to avoid procrastination is very real. Its simply getting them done. Fortunately for me I can afford to lose the privilege of procrastination because I live in my mother’s house.
She simply gives me the order and I do it. Today I woke up and took my progress picture. I was just about to start my reading to get it over with but was rudely interrupted by my mother. The order was to clean the bathrooms. I don’t mind since its a chore I enjoy doing. I told my mother the task would get done when I am back from my first workout.
My gym is closed on Sundays so I headed straight for my swim. I clocked in 90 minutes at the pool and coached a few kids how to swim during that time as well. I came home and started cleaning the bathrooms before I shower.
Something you guys should know is that I have an archnemesis, our maid. The fact is she doesn’t know she is my nemesis. She means well and of course she does a good job so she has been with us for nearly a decade now. But she has one very bad habit. She simply cannot arrive on time! And every time she comes to work it interrupts my shower time. I either find myself stuck in the shower until she is gone because my clothes are outside and its rude in our culture to walk out in front of strange women wrapped in towels. Or I find myself waiting for her to finish work so I can get to the shower. It usually takes her 15-20 minutes to get her work done, and that is quite a significant amount of time I think should not be wasted. Anyway, I was done cleaning the first bathroom and was in the middle of cleaning the other one (we have two). I was just about to finish and get my towel and clothes because I had a gut feeling she would interrupt my shower time. And I was right!
I stayed in the bathroom for nearly 15 minutes pretending to clean it waiting for her to go. She used the other bathroom in the meantime to get water for mopping the floor. Once she was done I was able to get out and get my towel to shower. It was a pleasant experience to shower in a clean bathroom which is the primary reason why I enjoy cleaning bathrooms. The smell of clean tiles and the hot water steaming up the mirror I just cleaned and the smell of soap and air freshener is pure bliss in my opinion.
After my near orgasmic experience I had breakfast. It was all carbs thanks to Diwali season. While I am still maintaining calories I am not quite happy with the carbs and forced vegetarianism for the festival. Although in the past I have found ways to sneak in chicken and its eggs into my meals during festive seasons so I might have to do that again being wary of my mother’s eyes.
After breakfast I got to work and worked continuously until evening. I realised I had forgotten to read in the morning and got that done. Then I headed out for my walk from there. On the walk people are in a festive mood and surprisingly there are less crackers being burst this year. I guess pulmonary diseases and deafness is on the rise in parallel to being broke universally. Festivals are changing in my society. Although there is lighting in every home. There was lighting on the streets as well and the local municipality too put up lighting on the roads.
I drank my gallon of water after I finished my walk today. My day was busy but fulfilling. I am getting things done and that means something. I gained 200 grams today so I haven’t actually got a grip on the weight loss yet. Day 11 was a success.

Let's hear it!
