59 on the grind!

59 on the grind!

Day 59 was quite smooth! After taking progress pictures, reading ten pages and weighing myself I reached the gym. At the gym I trained cardio. I did all the cardio machines and skipping. My beloved rowing machine is back in order and I am back in the game baby! I love rowing so much but the last time I used it was in July 2025 because for some reason the footrest broke and the trainers at the time refused to repair it. Later on we learnt that the trainers were in fact embezzling funds from the gym and are now in jail. I knew those guys well, and not for a minute did I think they would behave like that. Although strangely my instincts never allowed me to trust them with anything serious like money. Any who I came home from the gym and I had some Kanjee- Indian Congee native to my ancestral state of Goa (the dish is also known as Péz) and Sauteed Dill and Black Chickpeas for lunch. This meal is specifically eaten to keep the body cool during the summer. Great source of fibre and micro nutrients. I wanted to eat eggs but it was quite hot today so I did not bother.

Lunch- Kanjee (Congee), Sauteed Dill and Black Chickpea, Pickled Onions

Worked in the afternoon and went for a walk in the evening. The weather was nice and breezy but slightly humid too. Finished my gallon of water when I came home. Great day altogether. Day 59 was a success.

Oh nice! I’d like to see a picture someday. My chinese friend cooked congee with berries in it so I am aware different recipes exist all around. Is there something distinct about the Korean version? In addition to the chicken of course. In our state its usually eaten with green leafy vegetables and sometimes dried fish.

People tend to eat it when they miss home or are feeling under the weather
