Day 27/75

Day 27/75

Oh my what a day! My legs are hurting all over. I had a very physically active day today. I took my progress picture first thing in the morning and then I finished my reading task. Once those were done I had some green tea and headed to the gym for my first workout.

Today I trained legs and boy did I train my legs today. I increased the weights on each exercise by at least 10 kilograms, I now squat 55 Kilograms including bar weight, I leg press 210 Kilograms and I now lunge with 10 kilogram dumbbells in each hand. These might sound like rookie numbers to some people but to me these are a whole new level. I started with weightless squats to put things in perspective. After strength training I did some cardio on the elliptical for 20 minutes and maintained a 75% heart rate so around zone 3. After the gym I headed for my swim.

I did around 60 minutes of freestyle and breaststroke training at the pool; covering a distance of about 1500 meters. I also did flips just to stay in practice. From there I headed home. I had brunch which included eggs, chapatis, vegetables, rice and chicken. I was not surprised at my hunger. After my meal I headed straight to work. I finished two jobs today. Worked until evening until I got a call from my friend Apurva who was also out for a walk. I headed out for my walk and talked so much we ended up doing around 17000 steps or around 11.5 Kilometers. When I got home I was so tired and thirsty I ended up drinking more water than the gallon. I also ate a tangerine to replenish some lost electrolytes.

I lost an entire kilogram this morning and maybe it pushed me to try even harder. Day 27 was a success.
