Day 196 of the Cut

Pretty busy day yet again! Trained Chest, Shoulders and Triceps at the gym. Caught up on more cleaning. Lunch was dal and rice. We made Anarse today for Diwali! It is like a sweet biscuit made with wheat flour and we add khus khus to it aka poppy seeds. Poppy seeds are illegal in other countries so you can’t take them across borders. But in India you can have them all you want and they add some livid flavour to certain sweets. Worked after that and then went for a walk in the evening. Day 196 was as success!

Two golden-brown fried patties coated with semolina resting in a small metal bowl on a wooden surface.
Anarse!

I used to eat Anarsa quite often when I was living with my mother. It’s been years since I last had it.
