Day 62 of the Cut

Day 62 of the Cut

The day was spent in monotony. I honestly need to make some changes to my routine and maybe even take a break but I have a commitment and I am going to go through it even if I have to drag myself out of the cave. The rain feels amazing! It has cooled down the city and everyone is back in a good mood. Summer was brutal this year and this is certainly a relief. Monsoon comes with its own challenges though. Last year I did 75 hard during the Monsoon and I must have been splashed by vehicles over a dozen times. Its fine if you are working out but people need to have some manners too and slow down when they see pedestrians walking in the rain. Despite all of that Monsoon remains my favourite season because the air is cool and crisp and there is greenery all over the place.

At the gym I took it easy. I trained legs but with very light weights. Lunch was simple too my mother made Neer Dosas but she made it differently by adding some turmeric to the batter to give it a yellow colour. She also made some Sriracha to go with it. This week I am taking it easy on the workouts so I didn’t go out for a walk and I am also trying to gauge a pattern for the rain to find out when is the best time to go out. Regardless I will be carrying an umbrella all season. Day 62 was a success!
