Day 7 of the Cut

Day 7 of the Cut

The day started late because I accidentally slept in for longer than I should have. I found myself stumbling as I stubbed my toe on a yoga mat in my sleep as my mother was doing the Sarvangasana during her online Yoga class. Good thing she didn’t see that as her back was towards me. Her teacher however saw me and chuckled in the middle of counting the number of seconds while holding the pose when that happened. It would have looked better if she was right side up. Ignoring her I rushed to the kitchen and started with drinking water because the night before was super hot. I caught up on my chores from there and walked out again trying to not make any noise and made it back to my room to get ready for the gym. I trained back and biceps at the gym. I am still getting back in the groove of weight training so I did not train heavy but every guy in the gym for the last two days has been giving me some unsolicited goddamn advice. I just listened because I didn’t want to be rude but its been going on for three days now. When I reached home lunch was chicken and its eggs, okra, dal, rice and raita. I didn’t think I would but I ate that food in ten seconds. Not knowing my mom was staring at me the whole time with her mouth open. When I looked at her she asked me if I was okay and I said it was just pregnancy cravings. She ignored that and continued to munch on her food. I had to go pick up a blouse from the tailor later in the day not for myself but for my mother because we are attending a wedding tomorrow and she needed something new to wear. I went for my walk before that and reached home drenched in sweat and littered with bird feces. This wasn’t unexpected. There is this crow in my neighbourhood who has it out for me because I smacked it silly for trying to wash a dead lizard in the bird bath. Its already dead just eat the damn thing. I cleaned up and headed to the tailor and he said the blouse was ready. He looked at me and asked if it was for my mother and I said it was for me. He chuckled but then he made a serious face again because he wasn’t sure if I was joking. He looked at me and and then at the boobs of the blouse and nodded as if the blouse would fit me. My mom and I have the same bra size, although I have been braless since birth. I came home with the clothes, my mom tried them on and said they don’t fit well and I said they were made for me and she ignored me again. She called the barber and gave him a scolding and he said he would give her the next blouse for free. Upon hearing that the blouse fit well automatically. I got back to some pending work since I had zero time left for this nonsense. Day 7 was a success!

I think I should try that walking away from my plate thing. The visual distraction will help. The guys at the gym are just guys at the gym there is no solution to it lol. The tailor sure was a character. That crow can clean his meal in another bird bath tbh we have other birds using it, its communal not private silly. Thanks for reading!

Some days fasting comes easily and dieting is a breeze, other days I can’t wait to eat, and then I eat fast and think “I have room for some more food, if I do some math with the calories and portion sizes”. But I stop, walk away after I ate my food, and my stomach catches up after the speed of me inhaling my food and I feel full.

What’s up with gym guys and giving unsolicited advice? They need to mind their business XD. And what a funny story about the tailor. Can you blame the bird for wanting a clean meal? lol
