Day 42 began with me waking up in a sweat pool! Good thing I have a waterproof mattress casing just for this scenario. The heat wave is insane and my insides are heating up! I am doing everything to stay cool especially the gallon of water is helping but sometimes even that isn’t enough. After taking my progress pictures and reading ten pages I headed to the gym. I trained abs at the gym and I trained in the outdoor area where there is no A/C, so I was sweating a lot! I should have turned on the fans but honestly it feels good to sweat it out sometimes. I pushed myself but not as much as I did on the previous days because I was afraid of excess exertion (ironic?). When I reached home my mom had made chicken curry, chapatis and some stir fried bell peppers for lunch. The shortage for greens is still there mostly because there is little demand. According to my mom, mothers are not strict (tiger moms) with children about eating vegetables anymore and to add to that they themselves don’t like to eat these green leafy vegetables so the demand has gone down. The only ones asking for greens are women of her generation and that number has dwindled since most of them don’t shop anymore and their daughter-in-laws do. I consider myself lucky at this point because I happen to like greens and that is one thing that has to be added to my non-negotiables when it comes to marriage prospects. I am lucky because I don’t have a wife who doesn’t like vegetables. Imagine not liking vegetables! Its not acceptable! After lunch I worked on a new project all afternoon. After that I headed out for my walk. On my walk I met my friend Bhavesh and we talked about the gas shortage, the heatwave and the water shortage situation. After which I came home. Took a cold shower and then retired for the day. Day 42 was a success.
