Day 32 was spent on recovery. The day before yesterday when I trained at the park my ankle was overworked and while I trained with kettlebells at the gym yesterday I still did some squats for a good burn which had some impact on my ankle. Today I took it easy. My gym was closed today for the Holi festival and while everyone was busy playing with colours I was busy on my walk. In the morning after taking my progress pictures, weighing myself and completing my reading I went outside in the sun for a stroll. After my walk I came home and took a cold shower to cool my body down. My mom had made some Puran Poli for Holi and it was delicious! Its a sweet stuffed flat bread made with wheat flour and the stuffing is made from lentils. Its high in calories and is usually eaten with ghee on top and dipped in milk so I had to work around it by adjusting my food intake.

In the afternoon I spent time working and finished my gallon of water before my second workout which was an active recovery yoga session. I spent some time stretching and being humbled by the various poses I realised I couldn’t pull off. Regardless of all that the effort I put into yoga usually results in satisfaction and relaxation. My hips and hamstrings and back felt better after all those stretches. My ankle also got the rest it needed. Day 32 was a success.

Let's hear it!
