So, it was Waffle Day 2024, July 19th to be exact, and we had our hearts set on indulging at the Belgian Waffle Company in New Panvel. But, oh boy, were we in for a surprise! The place was packed with a crowd that could rival a concert. When we say it was easier to get booze on a Friday night, we mean it. The liquor store next door was less crowded than the waffle shop. So, we decided to ditch the long line and find a better spot.

Our Experience

Enter The Bombay Fries. This gem is located near Pillai Polytechnic in New Panvel (E), about a kilometer from Panvel Railway Station. When we got there, it was blissfully uncrowded, though they were busy with several online orders for waffles. We had to wait for about 20 minutes, but trust us, it was totally worth it.

We originally went there for waffles, but we couldn’t resist trying the Strawberry Cookie Shake. It was phenomenal and sweet AF. We had already traveled to several places that day, and this was the perfect dessert. The waffle was fresh, the ice cream on top was incredible, and the combination of hot waffle, fudge and ice cream was dream-worthy. We left with smiles on our faces.

We ordered two portions, but honestly, one can be shared by two people as the portions are quite generous. The shake was a pleasant surprise; we had never seen strawberry and cookies paired together, but it turned out to be a great combination.

The Bombay Fries is a popular hangout spot for students, offering a variety of snacks and a great atmosphere for socializing. If you’re ever in New Panvel, this place is a must-visit.
