Raindrops splattered against the windowpane as we dashed across the street, seeking refuge from the downpour. We just had some delicious momos at Rowdy Momos but we wanted some hot drinks and we thought we would never find it here in Khanda Colony before we get heavily drenched in pouring rain. But fate had other plans for us.
A couple stores down, we stumbled upon Star Cafe. The name intrigued us—could it live up to its celestial moniker? We craved warmth, both from the coffee and the cozy ambiance. The door swung open, and a friendly face greeted us—the owner, perhaps? He gestured toward the narrow staircase leading upstairs. Curiosity piqued, we ascended, leaving the rain-soaked streets behind.
Our Experience

Now, let me tell you something: we’ve explored every nook and cranny of Khanda Colony’s cafes. From quirky corners to minimalist vibes, we thought we’d seen it all. But Star Cafe? It was different. The seats—low, yet not uncomfortable—beckoned us. The walls, adorned with vibrant murals, whispered of youthful rebellion and creativity. This was no ordinary cafe; it was a haven for dreamers and coffee enthusiasts alike.

We settled into our seats, eyes scanning the menu. But wait—did they serve hot coffee? Our previous cafe-hopping adventures had left us skeptical. Most places stuck to iced brews, even during monsoons. But Star Cafe defied the norm. Hot coffee was on the menu, and our hearts skipped a beat. Delighted, we ordered both hot and cold versions, just to be thorough.

As we sipped our coffee, the cafe buzzed to life. It was Sunday afternoon, and kids—usually confined to their study desks—filled the space. Clearly, Star Cafe had a cult following. We snapped a few pictures before the crowd engulfed us. The aroma of brewing coffee mingled with laughter, creating an intoxicating blend.

Our snack arrived—a plate of golden French fries and nuggets. Crispy, flavorful, and utterly satisfying. The hot coffee? A revelation. It danced on our taste buds, a blend from Kerala that warmed our souls. And the cold coffee? Same blend, different magic. Our overall experience? Nothing short of incredible.
Star Cafe wasn’t just a pit stop; it was a memory etched in caffeine and camaraderie. So, if you find yourself in Khanda Colony, follow the celestial trail to this hidden gem. Trust me—you won’t regret it.
