Day 54/75

Day 54/75

Day 54 started with me waking up to the sound of birds in my balcony. I don’t use alarms unless I have an important meeting or appointment. This allows me to have a complete sleep. I was fresh and started with my tasks immediately. After finishing my reading and taking my progress picture I got some work done then headed to the gym.

At the gym I practiced pike presses and worked my way to the wall pike presses. I also practiced pancake stretches and butterfly leg stretches. I did not do cardio because I had a long walk planned for later. I reached home and my mom had made chickpeas and rice for lunch. I love chickpea curry and I can eat it everyday for the rest of my life if its available.

Soon after lunch I worked until evening when I headed out for my walk. It has gotten colder and unusually so because there is a huge tornado south of the country and it has caused a lot of damage to Sri Lanka already. The storm is currently hovering over South India and it will eventually diminish but its repercussions are felt here in the form of cold chilly winter air. I am used to working outside in -27 C so this is not even cold in my books but people wore sweaters and hoodies something I never expected them to wear in the tropics. I came home and finished my gallon of water.

The positive of the day is in fact the cold in the air because it is really helping me cope with fatigue. The chill is a literal ice-pack for my sore body. I made a ton of progress today and am grateful for the chickpeas. Day 54 was a success.
