Day 31 was a relaxed day. After working my ass off yesterday I figured I should give my body some time to recover. When I went to the gym after taking my progress pictures, finishing my reading and weighing myself I realised my ankle was not going to be able to handle excess strain so I decided to train with a kettlebell. Did you know that in 45 minutes you could easily burn nearly 800 calories with a kettlebell? I learnt that after I was sweating on the gym floor and the janitor gave me a scathing look because he had to clean up after me (thankfully it wasn’t Anatoly). But that workout was so refreshing because I barely put any strain on my ankle and I was still able to do a full body workout. I did have to minimise skipping however because I wasn’t able to jump a lot.
After the gym session I headed home and my mom brought those pink guavas again. This time they were a bit raw but I still liked them. Lunch was nothing special just some dal and rice which is comfort food. I did not eat anything non vegetarian because I just needed a break from all the meat and eggs.

After that I worked until the evening and headed out for my walk. On my walk I noticed it was a Full Moon. A lot of people in my town and generally around the world act like werewolves during Full Moon and an added factor to that is that it is the time of the Holi Festival where all Indians gather and throw coloured powder at each other. While I have had my share of colour throwing I haven’t enjoyed the tradition since the eighth grade. I have also been trying to avoid wasting water which is a big part of the tradition. There is also the part where a bonfire is lit in the evening marking the end of winter and the beginning of the spring season. I like that part because its very primal. After my walk I came home and finished my gallon. Day 31 was a success. Happy Holi everyone!
