We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and tattoo artist, Mr. Chetan Rajguru Gaikwad. With over 10 years of experience, Chetan has honed his skills in Mumbai and opened his primary shop in Kharghar three years ago. He also owns multiple shops across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, but this one holds a special place in his heart.

A Journey from Passion to Profession

Chetan’s journey into the world of tattoos started at a young age. As a child, he was fascinated by drawing and the TLC show “High Voltage,” which showcased tattoo artists. This fascination led him to ink his first tattoo on himself when he was in class 7, much to the dismay of his parents. However, they eventually supported his passion, allowing him to pursue a career as a tattoo artist.

Achievements and Competitions

Chetan regularly participates in various competitions and recently bagged the second position in the Black & Grey competition, a significant achievement considering the fierce competition from artists across the country.

Strict Protocols and Client Comfort

When it comes to tattooing, Chetan follows a strict protocol. Every customer must fill out a tattoo form before getting inked. If the customer is under 18, a consent form signed by a parent or guardian is required. Rigorous counseling and consultation are conducted before the tattoo work begins. Chetan emphasizes the importance of relatability with his clients, ensuring they are comfortable with him working on their bodies.

Hygiene and Aftercare

Chetan ensures that each tattoo is done in a sterile environment. Needles are replaced after each sitting, and all inks used are made with natural ingredients and imported from abroad. The needles and cartridges are disposable. Aftercare is crucial, and Chetan provides bandages and ointments with vitamins A and D to ensure proper healing and a great-looking tattoo.

Tattoo Removal and Piercing Services

Chetan (Chigz Stifller) also offers tattoo removal services, but he warns that the procedure is long, tedious, painful, and expensive. Beyond tattoos, he has been providing piercing services for the last six years.
