Day 20/75

Day 20/75

I had an unexpectedly hectic day today. It is also the second day of the four day fast that I am doing. I woke up and took a progress picture and weighed myself. To my surprise I dropped another kilogram overnight. I did nothing fancy but this is exciting and scary at the same time. I will check to see if this remains consistent tomorrow.

I headed to the gym for my first workout and did legs today. I was not hungry but felt fatigued during the workout but at the same time I was feeling energetic as well. Apparently this is because of the release of ketones into my blood stream. After the gym I headed out for my swim and met my friend Apurva and his nephew again. This time I was a bit cranky from the exercise and snapped a little if they did not listen to me, but I managed to keep my cool for the most part throughout.

I headed home from there and got straight to work. I did not expect so much work today. I was getting calls from clients left, right and centre. I had to turn down some work in the haste because it was too much to handle. I also had a splitting headache throughout the day. I guess it is to be expected along with the fatigue and constant growling of the stomach.

I pushed myself to keep busy until the evening when I could finally go out for some fresh air in the form of my second workout. I have encountered many stereotypes of my country before but this one has never been more apparent. On my walk I came across a bunch of cows sitting on the road. I imagined a bunch of aunties sitting and gossiping without giving a flying fuck about what is happening around them but that would be too on the nose.

How many cows do you count?

I minded own business and rushed home because I was feeling tired. I had actually finished drinking my gallon well before my walk since I did not have to eat anything and it became easier to fill up on water. I also finished my reading task before I headed out for my walk. Day 20 was a success.
