Day 71 was not unusual but its here already! I slept late last night and woke up way too early for a Saturday. I wanted to sleep in but got started with my tasks because then I wouldn’t be able to get those done in time if I went back to sleep. After taking progress pictures and reading ten pages I went to the gym. I trained calisthenics for an hour. A friend of mine Bhagyesh also joined me today to learn handstands and he did quite well for the first day. I was in a bit of a rush to get home because I really was feeling exhausted today. I guess it was the lack of sleep. Usually I finish my entire workout but today I stopped training after doing the bare minimum.
Breakfast was eggs and toast again. I wanted to keep it light this morning. I finished reading Personal Running Best by Mike Coogan a couple of days ago and its a great book that mentions his training principles on running and the balance between training and personal life. He maintains that the athletes he trains are people first. If they are unable to balance other aspects of their life it will affect their athletic career as well. He also provides a comprehensive guide on running techniques, running exercises and various different schedules for running various distances ranging from the mile to the marathon. Each schedule has a set number of weeks that one can train and a set number of mileage that he provides for training. Its an effective guide with insights from his own career as an athlete as well as a coach. He provides examples of various athletes from his team who have had a successful careers. Great book in general for professional runners and casual runners who want to level up outside of their busy schedules. Currently I am reading Foundations of Screenwriting by Syd Field.
Went for a walk in the evening after working in the afternoon and finished drinking my gallon of water when I came back. Day 71 was a success.

Let's hear it!
