Day 56 was the usual but it was better than yesterday. The heat hasn’t gone down but the dread has. After taking my progress pictures, reading ten pages and weighing myself I found the time to drink tea and eat a banana and a handful of grapes before I headed to the gym. I trained Abdominals today but since I had skipped Shoulder and Triceps yesterday I recovered those exercises today. The early food intake gave me a much needed boost of energy on this hot day. Without realising it, I think we are burning more calories than needed.
I am staying hydrated of course having drunk 5 liters of water today. We also had a technician come by today to replace the filters on our RO system. Its a convenient way to get clean water. Before the technician showed up we kept a few bottles of water in the fridge for guests just in case, we don’t normally drink cold water (no particular reason). I found myself busy with work in the afternoon and last night I slept very little. I wanted to take a nap but I figured its best to get tired and sleep better at night.

For lunch we had bhakri, sauteed chicken in which my mom put some gochujang paste, cucumber raita and some red garlic chutney which is a dry condiment. It was delicious. I went for my walk in the evening and it was crowded as its Friday and the local street market called the Friday Market (bit on the nose) is open. They sell cheap goods like toys, utensils and other items for daily use. People also like to shop for other household items and clothing in this market. Perhaps I will blog about it one day I am not too keen about crowds or markets to be honest so I might have to go with my mom so I don’t get swindled over a pair of marbles. I don’t need marbles just trying to create new metaphors and idiomatic expressions since Shakespeare is not around anymore. Day 56 was a success.
